Duties and Responsibilities:
Plant, grow, maintain, and harvest fruit, vegetable, and tropical plants in greenhouse as directed by Program Chair
Maintain and troubleshoot multiple hydroponics and aquaponics systems
Keep records as required
Complete organizational projects within greenhouse
Perform custodial tasks such as sweeping and sanitizing equipment
Support the Agriculture program by assisting with preparation for special events such as tours and plant adoption days
General Qualifications:
General plant and gardening knowledge and experience
Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds
Able to work in a warm, humid environment and stand for a few hours at a time
Curious about the plant world and anxious to learn more
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in a greenhouse environment
Experience with hydroponics, aquaponics and/or aquariums
