Job Purpose:
The GRC Platform Integration & Support Team sits within the M&G plc Non Financial Risk team in the Risk and Compliance function and is responsible for the groups primary Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) application, Metricstream, which is jointly owned between the Risk and the Technology business areas.
MetricStream is used across the organisation to support risk, control and compliance management and reporting. It enables consistent oversight of the Group’s control environment in line with our framework and regulatory requirements, while helping our business to meet the expectations of clients, shareholders and regulators and supporting the delivery of customers’ long‑term needs
The GRC Platform Integration & Support Team lead the development, optimisation and governance of the Group’s GRC system, ensuring it supports high‑quality, consistent and efficient risk management.
The role reports to the Risk Manager GRC Platform Integration and Support.
The role holder will support the development, optimisation and governance of the MetricStream system, ensuring it supports high quality, consistent and efficient risk management and the system aligns seamlessly with the Risk & Compliance Frameworks processes and policies.
Additionally, they will be responsible for the design and availability of training/supporting resources which will focus on enhancing business understanding of Metricstream, ensuring that employees are well-versed with its functionalities to support the adherence to the Operational risk framework and standards and compliance processes. This will include the optimising and development of the current support system, (Next Think) Adopt, that sits on top of Metricstream to provide real time user support.
The role holder will provide ongoing support to the business and key stakeholders, which includes identification and management of impacts and dependencies, troubleshooting issues, addressing knowledge gaps and ensuring that all users are able to comply with the latest risk management practices.
The role holder will also be an SME in delivery of system changes, customisations and upgrades from a business perspective to support the continuous development of the system in line with business need and the Risk and Compliance Technology & Data strategy. Fundamental to this will be the identification and development of system led solutions to business needs or changes in the Risk and Compliance Frameworks.
The role holder will be expected to learn the required technical information about Metricstream and our associated processes to help drive forward the relevant enhancement and change initiatives across M&G plc.
Attention to detail, analytical skills and strong time management are key components of this role as there are critical dependencies on the Metricstream system across the group. The role will require an ability to work as a team with strong communication skills and as an independent contributor who is responsible for the delivery of their assigned tasks to specified and often challenging timelines.
The role works closely with multiple teams across locations including the Framework and Reporting Team, Non-Financial Risk, the IT support teams and Corporate Functions. There will also be considerable engagement and collaboration with our vendors as one of the primary business SME leads.
