Introduction to role

Are you a strategic, collaborative, and innovative individual with creative graphic design experience, exposure to clinical/medical domain, and strong communication skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a Graphic Lead in the GBS-GCO Medical Delivery Tower within our Global Business Services (GBS) Organization. In this role, you will focus on developing technically accurate, creative materials for internal and external audiences. You will work closely with the Medical Information & Communication team to build impactful visual assets that can be brought to bear across multiple platforms and audiences. Besides creating assets, this role contributes to developing digital experiences. It uses user-centered principles and enterprise design system standards to develop scalable, modular web and omnichannel medical content. Accountabilities

  • The role works closely with Medical Information & Communication collaborators, content owners, and delivery teams.
  • Lead end-to-end creative development of medical communication assets, including slide decks, infographics, data visualizations, medical illustrations, logo and digital assets.
  • Translate scientific and clinical content into clear, engaging visual narratives and video outputs while ensuring, compliance, and brand alignment.
  • Apply user experience (UX) principles to digital medical content, including layout structuring, information hierarchy, accessibility, and responsive behavior across devices.
  • Act as a creative and quality gatekeeper, ensuring adherence to corporate visual identity, medical guidelines, and governance standards.
  • Provide creative input and review support for video-related requirements (e.g., slide-to-video or animation review), as needed.
  • Guide and mentor designers and delivery partners, offering feedback, guidelines, and creative direction.
  • Support digital-first and MI delivery, ensuring assets are optimized for multiple platforms.
  • Lead and contribute to scalable design standards, templates, and component-based patterns within Figma, ensuring alignment with enterprise design systems and future Medical Design Library principles.
  • Translate enterprise design system components and patterns into practical designs (e.g., Disease Education pages), ensuring consistency, reusability, and reduced reliance on custom development.
  • Build wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma to support digital-first medical initiatives and web-based content experiences.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, supporting effort estimation, timelines, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Working across multiple TAs and brands as a shared resource; creation of SOPs and mentoring documents

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • At least 5-8+ years in creative design for medical or scientific communication.
  • Proven experience in:
  • Pharma, medical or scientific communication agency, clinical or science domain
  • Infographics, data visualization, and medical illustration
  • Creating responsive web page layouts using component-based design approaches
  • Typography, layout, and visual storytelling
  • Slide and digital asset design
  • Advanced proficiency in modern design and collaboration tools such as Figma, including component creation, auto layout, variants, design libraries, and prototyping. Strong proficiency in industry-standard design and content creation tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work across static and digital formats with high attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of brand guidelines, compliance, and settings where work is regularly evaluated.
  • Experience collaborating with medical, scientific, and cross-functional collaborators.
  • Strong English interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and ability to multi-task.
  • Exposure to working in a multi culture environment and different time zones

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare organizations.
  • Experience working within enterprise design systems and collaborating with front-end or CMS teams (e.g., AEM).
  • Exposure to Medical Information & Communication, Medical Affairs, Publications, or digital response workflows.
  • Experience supporting medical education disclosures.
  • Experience using AI-powered or automation tools for content design, image generation, or creative optimization.
  • Experience supporting in Medical or scientific video content (storyboarding, slide-to-video, animation)
  • Familiarity with content management platforms or digital asset tools.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 106,437.60 to 139,699.35.

The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.  In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.

In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).  Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days.
