What a day of a Graphic Communications Supervisor looks like:
Receives, prioritizes, and assigns print requests. Creates and distributes finished products and other required forms.
Guides staff in the preparation and production of material and reports for printing.
Creates and prepares graphic layouts. Operates graphic arts equipment to generate displays, bulletins, and larger scale graphic information including maps, charts, and signs.
Responsible for coordinating the design, creation, and distribution of brochures and flyers.
Manages and provides guidance, direction, and observation of staff you supervise directly. This includes but is not limited to conducting performance appraisals, goal setting, career and performance counseling, and identification and evaluation of training and development needs for staff.
Collaborates among departments, functions or groups, within and outside the College. Communicates information through various methods to appropriate personnel and others.
Maintains inventories of equipment, supplies, and materials.
Provides consultation and assistance regarding specific matters within area of expertise.
Maintains and performs in a safe workplace and follows established safety practices.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Four years of related experience
Experience in supervision
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
Adobe Acrobat and Distiller
Digital printing productivity and workflow software
Publishing software
Skilled in:
Writing with clarity, consistency, and precision
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including policy and creative writing, group presentation, and individual coaching and counseling skills
Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
Analyzing requirements, resource estimation, and allocation
Ability to:
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
Thrive in a fast-paced environment, capacity to prioritize, process, and execute multiple projects at a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:

The minimum base pay for this position starts at $21.44 per hour; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate’s education and experience.
