Job Summary: This position is located at USAG Ansbach - MWR, Marketing Office. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

Major Duties:

  • Performs a wide range of illustrating assignments in the preparation of view-graphs, wall charts, posters, fliers, brochures and similar materials.
  • Designs layouts and produces graphic designs as requested by serviced activities. Prepares illustrations for manuals, pamphlets, handbooks and similar types of publications. Serves as COR for graphic and production type contracts.
  • Prepares materials for publication. Interviews project proponents who review and identify acceptability of work results. May be provided copy and required to independently develop illustrations within narrow time limits.
  • Orders supplies and maintains equipment necessary to support the program. Establishes and maintains records related to work performed.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: -Completion of an accredited program in graphic design, art or related field which involves artistic creativity. Education must be from an accredited vocational or technical program above the high-school level, with major course of study in illustrative design, commercial art, fine arts, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, visual communication, or or other fields related to Graphic Arts Design. -OR- -Work experience performing the duties as a Graphic Arts Designer. Examples of qualifying general experience include: illustrating, painting, or drawing that required artistic ability and draw, ink, letter, color, or shade illustrations, charts, maps, diagrams, or posters etc. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": -Experience with Software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Lightroom) -Experience with soliciting Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising -Two (2) year's or more experience in Graphic Design Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager.
