Salary Range: $89508 - $129742 Per Year

Job Summary: In this position, you will design, develop, implement, and interpret grant/assistance management policies, procedures, and practices. You will determine applicant eligibility using formulas and methodology and established eligibility criteria. Also, oversee, review, analyze and evaluate grant/assistance applications, plans, and estimates. Lastly, you will negotiate terms and conditions of grant/assistance awards to include costs, schedules, and oversight responsibilities.

Major Duties:

  • Design, develop, implement, and interpret grant/assistance management policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Monitor and assess recipient performance and compliance with all award terms and conditions; ensuring alignment with established performance measures.
  • Prepare, process, issue, and track grants/assistance awards and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Initiate, plan, and conduct surveys and studies to recommend changes to policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Resolve audit findings or monitor audit resolution in partnership with resolution officials.
  • Announce programs and solicit applications or proposals for funding.

Qualifications: Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. FOR THE GS-12 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-11 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Applied Federal grant and financial assistance regulations to review awards and resolve routine grant issues. Participated in pre-award and post-award activities by reviewing applications, evaluating budgets and project plans, and preparing financial and performance reports. Reviewed recipient activities to assess compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and award terms. Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
