If you are passionate about hardware platforms, board‑level engineering, and system validation, the Client Validation Engineering (CVE) organization offers an exciting opportunity for you.
The Validation & Test Solutions (VTS) team is seeking a Graduate Talent Platform Hardware Engineer to support the architecture, bring‑up, validation, and execution of platform hardware used for test chip and validation programs.
This role provides hands‑on exposure to platform board development, lab execution, debug, and cross‑functional collaboration, under close mentorship from senior engineers.
The candidate will contribute to high‑visibility test chip programs, helping ensure on‑time execution and quality delivery of validation platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support platform hardware bring‑up and validation for test chip and system validation platforms
- Assist in board‑level execution, including:
- Platform power‑on, smoke testing, and basic debug
- Lab setup, instrumentation, and test execution
- Execute validation test plans, collect data, and document results
- Support issue triage and debug at board and system level under mentorship
- Assist in hardware documentation, schematics reviews, BOM tracking, and execution checklists
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (architecture, firmware, validation, manufacturing, supply chain)
- Support sustaining activities, including:
- Component changes
- Basic failure analysis
- Platform readiness tracking
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in hardware platforms, board‑level engineering, or system validation
- Basic understanding of:
- Digital hardware fundamentals
- Power, clocks, reset concepts
- Board‑level signals and interfaces
- Willingness to work hands‑on in lab environments
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross‑site team
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to platform bring‑up, validation, or lab execution (academic projects or internships)
- Basic knowledge of high‑speed interfaces (e.g., PCIe, USB, SPI, I2C, UART)
- Familiarity with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, or debug probes
- Experience with hardware documentation or test reporting
- Interest in growing into a Platform Hardware Design
