The Role and Impact
As a Development Tools Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in driving innovation and efficiency across Intel's engineering ecosystem. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced software tools that enable our internal and external engineering partners to design, manufacture, and integrate Intel silicon into transformative products. Your work will directly impact Intel's success by enhancing development processes, improving product quality, and supporting cutting-edge technology that powers the future of computing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize software tools, systems, and algorithms to support diverse domains such as manufacturing, validation, and silicon production.

  • Utilize secure coding practices and modern software development methodologies to develop high-quality test libraries.

  • Perform detailed code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and secure development lifecycle practices.

  • Debug, validate, and troubleshoot software tool functionality to support internal engineering teams.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and deliver solutions that address customer needs.

  • Drive continuous improvement in software quality, testing methodologies, and disciplined execution practices.

  • Share expertise in object-oriented software design and problem-solving to contribute to Intel's engineering excellence.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related specialized field.

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, or C++.

  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices and Software Development Lifecycle (SDL).

  • Hands-on experience with software debugging, testing methodologies, and code quality improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement software tools using object-oriented principles.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in customer engagement, consulting, and problem-solving in dynamic engineering environments.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams.

  • Proven track record of disciplined execution and group problem-solving to achieve project goals.

  • Knowledge of industry trends and innovative software tool development methodologies.
