We have an opportunity for a Graduate Program Coordinator I for the College of Education and Human Development. This position will serve in a key role facilitating a positive academic experience for graduate students by assisting graduate student admissions and recruitment activities, student success activities, and performing general administrative tasks. Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Previous TAMU experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to support event or activity coordination.

  • Proficiency in standard office software and technology.

  • Ability to work with confidential information.

  • Ability to think critically.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Essential Duties/Tasks

Graduate Student Compliance and Offer Letters

  • Performs all duties related to offer letters for all GATs/GARs for the College

  • Compliance with the international GAT students on the English language proficiency (With CTE)

  • Work with Departments, HR, Grant HR, Grad School, CTE collaboratively in support of the students

Data Management and Advising

  • Maintains accurate data related to graduate students, advising graduate program students, and working with program faculty/chairs, including scheduling.

Admissions and Recruitment

  • Assists with graduate student admission and/or recruitment activities by exercising independent judgment.

Student Success

  • Develops and implements strategies for student success activities.

Graduate Student Events

  • Plans and implements for events or activities for graduate students.

Program Support

  • Performs general administrative tasks that are essential to support program operations.
