The opportunity
We are looking to hire a Graduates/Lawyers to join our Advisory & Compliance practice in Sydney.
Candidates with relevant immigration compliance experiences would be considered for experienced lawyer positions.
As a Graduate, you will provide support to our team of migration lawyers, and to our corporate and individual clients. This support will include preparing and reviewing visa applications to ensure they meet all legal and other requirements, drafting legal documents and client correspondence, day to day liaison with clients, assisting with scheduling of and documenting client interviews, performing research tasks, assisting with preparation of legal submissions, running reports, review, analysis and reconciliation of large sets of data, and other general administration tasks as required. Under supervision, you will have ownership of a caseload and be expected to proactively manage workflows.
As a Graduate you will develop a sound working knowledge of Australian immigration law, regulations and policy, and ability to work on and support more senior members of the team on highly technical immigration matters such as large scale data reconciliation, compliance audits, legal advisory / consulting work and work verification services.
While applicants with a demonstrated interest in Immigration or Administrative law are preferred, we welcome applications from talented law graduates just starting to learn about this practice area that we love!
Qualification and Experience
You will be a team player, possess superior written and oral communication skills, be highly organised to plan and manage high volumes of work in a busy environment and integrate easily and work cooperatively in a busy, but fun, team environment.
The successful candidate will be a legal practitioner in Australia and ideally comes with prior immigration and/or data analysis experience. Proficiency using Excel and strong attention to detail, research and submission / advice drafting skills are essential.
