Job Description
Designation- Graduate Engineer Trainee
City- Pune, India
As a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Rockwell Automation, you will develop your technical experience approaching a problem from different angles, analysing pros and cons of different solutions, while contributing to real-world industrial automation projects. You will work in the Business Operations pillar and work on all the workstreams of the pillar like roadmap features, customer success features, technical debt and product health issues reported by the customer.
You will report to the Manager- Software Engineering, Application Delivery and have a hybrid schedule working in Pune, India.
Your Responsibilities:
Analyse, design software programmes for software enhancements and new products.
Use current programming language (MS stack) and technologies, writing code, completing programming, and performing testing and debugging of applications.
Follow the process of Agile and using all the tools that are used during the development cycle.
Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
May work with users to define system requirements or necessary modifications.
Personal and delivery; ability to establish and meet milestones and deadlines with our requirements and the process of translating them into well-engineered and integrated technical solutions
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Degree in Computer Science and IT or related
CGPA for 7.0 and above
Fresher passed out in 2025-2026 with 0-1 year of experience
We will prefer students who have completed the CDAC course.
Hands-on experience with SQL such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational database software
Hands-on experience with Object-oriented programming such as C#
0-1 year of experience in the following web frameworks such as ASP.NET, ASP, node.js
Database design/data modelling experience and performance tuning
Experience in web development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Experience with version control systems such as Git, Subversion
Solve business problems, thoughtful in learning new things and having good work attitude and ethics
Commit to meeting customer service metrics, Service level agreements
Collaborate with partner teams, peers, and managers
Status reporting within their teams
Effective in both individual and team-based work settings
Work with diverse and cross-cultural teams
Stay informed about relevant technology trends and developments

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Experience with Azure DevOps
Usage of tools like Jira, Confluence
Usage of any AI tools like Git hub, Copilot.
Familiarity with Rockwell Automation platforms.
Knowledge of industrial automation, control systems or engineering fundamentals.
Hands-on project or internship experience in automation, robotics, or industrial systems.
Exposure in deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
