Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Support
Assist in issuing RFQs, collecting quotations, and preparing cost comparison sheets.
Support purchase order creation, follow-up, and supplier communication.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
Vendor Development
Coordinate supplier data collection, capability assessment, and onboarding formalities.
Participate in supplier evaluation for quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
Support new part developments and prototype sourcing activities.
Costing & Negotiation Support
Assist in cost breakdown analysis of mechanical, electrical, and plastic components.
Benchmark raw material prices, logistics, and tooling costs.
Prepare negotiation summaries and savings trackers.
Process & Documentation
Maintain and update supplier master data, contracts, and audit documentation.
Support PPAP / APQP documentation and ECN (Engineering Change Note) implementation.
Track supplier performance KPIs (OTIF, PPM, Cost, Responsiveness).
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work with Quality, R&D, and Production teams for supplier approvals, rejections, and issue resolutions.
Participate in daily meetings (SQCDP / MPS / SIOP) to support material readiness.
Learning & Development
Understand end-to-end automotive sourcing processes – from RFQ to mass production.
Learn about international sourcing, import management, and localization projects
Participate in structured rotation programs within SCM and Purchase functions.
B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Industrial Engineering.
2023–2025 batch preferred.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes and automotive components.
Basic knowledge of raw materials (steel, rubber, plastic, fasteners).
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) preferred.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Good communication and coordination ability.
Eagerness to learn and take ownership.
