The Role
We are seeking a motivated Grade 1 Physiotherapist to join our team as part of our structured Grade 1 Rotational Program across Cabrini Malvern, Brighton and Elsternwick.
This program is designed to develop both your clinical and soft skills through regular senior supervision, internal and external professional development, and a supportive, collaborative learning environment. New graduate physiotherapists are strongly encouraged to apply.
Rotating Grade 1
In our rotation program you will enjoy supportive four-month rotations that include opportunities to work with diverse patient cohorts across the health service continuum, including acute rotations in orthopaedics and paediatrics, ICU, cardiothoracic and abdominal surgery, oncology, general medical and neurology; and sub-acute rotations in inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation and rehabilitation in the home (RITH).
Key responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, compassionate physiotherapy services across inpatient, home and community settings
Provide comprehensive patient assessments, treatment plans, ongoing evaluation and accurate documentation
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to support safe and effective discharge planning
Participate in departmental quality activities and show commitment to ongoing learning and development
About You:
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Grade 1 Physiotherapists who are passionate about delivering excellent patient-centred care aligned with Cabrini’s mission and values.
You will have:
A Physiotherapy degree and current (or upcoming) AHPRA registration (New Graduates encouraged to apply)
Experience in acute and sub-acute settings with exposure to orthopaedics, general surgical and general medical cohorts
Knowledge and experience in assessing and discharge planning for complex patients
Strong teamwork and communication skills within a multi-disciplinary environment
The ability to inspire, influence and motivate patients
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and perform effectively under pressure
