The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist to join our Outpatient team. This full-time Monday–Friday role is primarily based at the Cabrini Exercise & Wellness Centre in Malvern, with potential rotations to our Elsternwick Outpatient site.
You will work with a wide range of chronic disease cohorts including cardiac, respiratory, and oncology patients, making a meaningful impact on their long-term health and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
Facilitating group exercise and rehabilitation programs
Delivering comprehensive assessments
Developing individualised exercise plans
Managing a flexible caseload, including one-on-one private practice sessions
You’ll be supported by a collaborative, flexible and growth-focused team. We offer internal and external professional development, regular supervision with senior clinicians, and a culture that values learning, teamwork, and innovation.
Key responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, compassionate clinical services in an Outpatient setting
Conduct thorough client assessments using appropriate screening tools and outcome measures
Deliver and progress tailored exercise programs based on patient-centred goals
Facilitate group exercise classes and group education sessions
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Participate in departmental quality activities and commit to ongoing learning
About You:
We are seeking a dynamic Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care aligned with Cabrini’s mission and values.
You will have:
Accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
Experience in an Outpatient environment, ideally with chronic disease and oncology cohorts
Ability to autonomously complete assessments and run group programs
Strong teamwork and communication skills
The ability to inspire and motivate patients
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
