We are seeking a Governance Lead to support enterprise IT governance in a complex, regulated environment where effective decision-making, accountability, and cross-organizational alignment are essential. This role operates across multiple initiatives and stakeholder groups and helps bring structure, transparency, and discipline to governance processes that guide priorities, risks, and outcomes.
This individual will lead governance operations and support the design and improvement of governance frameworks, decision paths, and oversight processes. The role is intended for someone who can work across leadership, program, financial, technical, and operational stakeholders to make governance forums effective and to ensure decisions are documented, tracked, and translated into action.
Job Location
Hybrid, with periodic onsite support as needed in Baltimore, Maryland.
Lead governance support across enterprise IT initiatives, including governance boards, change control activities, and decision forums
Develop and maintain governance frameworks, processes, decision paths, escalation models, and supporting documentation
Coordinate agendas, meeting materials, minutes, decisions, and action tracking for governance bodies and leadership forums
Support prioritization and triage of initiatives, enhancements, issues, and risks through structured governance processes
Work across program, strategy, architecture, security, and financial teams to ensure governance decisions are informed and actionable
Support transparency through dashboards, reports, scorecards, and governance status materials, OKRs, and Metrics
Help improve governance effectiveness through process refinement, performance tracking, and follow-up discipline
Support alignment of governance processes with enterprise priorities, compliance expectations, and operational needs
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, public administration, management, or a related field, and 5+ years of relevant professional experience
8+ years of experience supporting federal IT governance, enterprise governance, portfolio governance, or similarly structured oversight functions
Master’s degree in information technology, business, public administration, or a related field
PMP, SAFe SPC, ITIL Foundation, or similar certification
5+ years of experience facilitating governance boards, decision forums, change control boards, or executive working groups
5+ years of experience developing governance documentation such as charters, decision logs, escalation paths, board materials, meeting minutes, or action trackers
5+ years of experience supporting prioritization, triage, or review processes for projects, enhancements, investments, or enterprise initiatives
5+ years of experience working across cross-functional stakeholder groups that include business, technical, financial, and operational participants
5+ years of experience supporting risk, compliance, performance, or accountability discussions within governance structures
4+ years of experience developing or maintaining governance dashboards, reports, scorecards, or performance visibility materials
4+ years of experience supporting programs in a federal environment or similarly regulated enterprise setting
2+ years of experience supporting enterprise shared services, identity programs, or platform governance initiatives
2+ years of experience supporting investment review, portfolio management, or strategic planning processes
Experience working in health IT, public sector modernization, or large multi-stakeholder enterprise environments

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
