Payroll Analyst – GlobalView & Payroll

Location: Mexico City
 

Reports to: Regional Payroll Manager

Job Summary

The Payroll Analyst will support the accurate and timely processing of payroll for Mexico, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies. This role focuses on operational execution, data validation, and support activities within the ADP GlobalView payroll system, working closely with senior payroll team members, HR, Finance, and external vendors. The role is ideal for a professional looking to deepen their expertise in Mexican payroll operations within a global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

  • Support end-to-end payroll processing for employees in Mexico and the opportunity to manage other countries in the region, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and special payments (bonuses, terminations, adjustments).

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with country labor and tax regulations, e.g., Mexico: IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR, SUA.

  • Validate payroll results, reports, and CFDI files according to SAT requirements.

System & Data Management

  • Perform payroll data entry, validation, and maintenance in ADP GlobalView.

  • Support the interface between HRIS (Workday) and GlobalView, including data checks and issue escalation.

  • Run standard payroll reports and assist with payroll simulations as needed.

Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to respond to payroll-related inquiries.

  • Support interactions with external vendors (e.g., ADP) by opening tickets, tracking issues, and following up on resolutions.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Assist with monthly and year-end payroll activities, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.

  • Prepare documentation and reports required for internal reviews and audits.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records in line with company policies and local regulations.

Process Improvement & Testing

  • Participate in payroll testing activities during system upgrades or process changes.

  • Identify operational gaps or repetitive issues and escalate improvement opportunities to the Payroll Manager.

  • Support basic automation or standardization initiatives within payroll processes.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Follow established payroll procedures and contribute to keeping documentation updated.

  • Support knowledge transfer activities within the payroll team as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in payroll operations in Mexico.

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Mexican labor and tax regulations (IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR, SUA, CFDI).

  • Experience using payroll systems; exposure to ADP GlobalView is a plus.

  • Intermediate English proficiency (reading and writing; spoken English a plus).

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and willingness to learn.

  • Interest in process improvement and familiarity with Microsoft tools (Excel, Power Platform exposure is a plus).
