The Global Third Party Risk Officer is a subject matter expert responsible for maintaining and supporting Third Party Management (TPM) Program requirements in support of the Business Operations Shared Services (BOSS). The Global Third Party Risk Officer will be responsible for providing ongoing risk and control oversight and expertise, while facilitating and executing formal risk governance routines that enable the identification, mitigation, and escalation of ongoing operational risks. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with Business Activity Owner (BAO), BAO Support staff and business stakeholders for compliance to Citi’s TPM Policy and Standard

  • Escalate issues that arise due to the failure to execute TPM Program requirements to the applicable Risk and Controls Manager, Third Party Officer (TPO), BAO, and other stakeholders; where appropriate

  • Monitor TPM execution for the BOSS organization against the TPM requirements

  • Produce reports transforming the Third-Party data into actionable information for escalation and monitoring

  • Inform TPM & Sector stakeholders on Country / Legal Entity Specific requirements in relation to outsourcing regulations

  • Support Supplier relationship risk reduction reviews, in partnership with Sector stakeholders, TPO and BAO

  • Lead and/or support in TPM projects for the BOSS organization as required by Global programs

  • Support audits, examinations, and deliverable requirements from internal and external reviewers by supporting coordinating activities

  • Ensure project completion, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required

Ideal background:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience in Business Risk and Controls

  • 5+ years’ experience in financial services

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required

  • Customer focused with excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating with diverse workgroups in a multi-location team structure

  • Strong excel and good PowerPoint skills to manage data for management and governance reports

  • Demonstrated understanding of operational risk and gap identification

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to present a compelling case to influence others where appropriate

  • Familiarity and ability to assist with other enterprise-wide policies such as Records Management, Continuity of Business, and Information Security is preferred but not required

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
