Job Title: Global Tax Operations – Vice President

Job Description & Responsibilities:

The Vice President will provide tax operations support for Blackstone’s Tax Finance function.  This individual will help manage the Tax Operations functions and help implement best practices and efficiencies across the Fund/Corporate Tax teams:

  • Work directly with the tax team to identify, map, analyze, and document current tax processes to identify opportunities for automation, process changes, efficiency gains, and execute into practice
  • Oversee and develop tax data governance and manage the tax data operations service center function
  • Transition to the lead of the investor onboarding function, upholding data integrity and compliance standards, while enhancing both internal tax teams and investor experience
  • Conduct ad-hoc planning, analysis, and create reports/visualizations to support senior management decision-making
  • Work directly with tax service providers to collect, analyze, and store tax data to be used downstream solutions
  • Partner, collaborate, and build and maintain relationships with various internal teams including Fund / Corporate Tax Teams, Tax Operations, AEOI, GFF, Investor Reporting, Treasury and Legal and Compliance
  • Manage multiple deliverables for competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Develop and train junior team members globally in process and technology
  • Track and report project progress to the Tax Transformation MD in real time and work side-by-side with the Tax Technology VP
  • Liaise with various BXTI teams to determine improvements and cost/benefit of technology.

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors as well as:

  • At least 7+ years of Big 4 tax experience in the alternative asset management and/or tax technology industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or certification in Taxation or Project Management is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of tax and Finance processes/operations.
  • Experience with tax technology solutions, such as ETL, data visualizations, ERP systems, and databases.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving ability, and ability to work with various levels of management.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and possess a strong work ethic.

Expected annual base salary range:

$148,000 - $250,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
