Proofpoint is seeking a high-performing intern to join our Global Talent Management team. This role offers exposure to enterprise-wide talent strategy, including succession planning, leadership development, internal mobility, workforce planning, and AI-enabled talent solutions.

This is not a purely administrative internship. You will work on real business initiatives that influence how we identify, develop, and accelerate talent across the organization.

You will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, program design, executive-ready communications, and enterprise talent strategy.

What You’ll Work On

  • Depending on business priorities, projects may include:
  • Talent Strategy & Analytics
  • Support enterprise talent review cycles and succession planning analysis.
  • Analyze internal mobility, promotion, and retention trends.
  • Build dashboards and executive-ready summaries of talent insights.
  • Conduct research and benchmarking on talent management best practices.
  • Leadership & Development Programs
  • Assist in the design and evaluation of leadership development initiatives.
  • Support mentoring programs and early career development tracks.
  • Contribute to competency framework refinement and skill mapping.
  • Workforce Planning & Internal Mobility
  • Support initiatives related to internal talent marketplace and career growth pathways.
  • Analyze skills data to identify capability gaps and development opportunities.
  • Help assess readiness pipelines for critical roles.
  • Executive & Stakeholder Support
  • Develop presentation materials for senior leadership.
  • Prepare briefing materials for talent review discussions.
  • Participate in strategy sessions and cross-functional meetings.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, HR, Organizational Psychology, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or data visualization tools.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, or workforce planning.
  • Experience with data analysis, research, or consulting-style projects.
  • Familiarity with HR systems (Workday experience a plus).
  • Curiosity about AI, skills-based talent models, and future of work trends.
