About the Team
The Sustainability Team engages directly with clients, translates evolving regulations into practical programs, and communicates FIS’ sustainability performance to internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Be Doing
As Global Sustainability Lead, you will advance our global sustainability strategy and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, compliant sustainability reporting. Your work will bridge voluntary reporting and regulated disclosures, help us to advance and share FIS’ sustainability performance, and ensure that we are meeting the sustainability expectations of our stakeholders.
- Reporting, Data, and Analytics
- Support FIS’ sustainability reporting and disclosures, including the annual Global Sustainability Report
- Engage with ESG raters and rankers to drive annual submissions to CDP, EcoVadis, etc.
- Regulatory Monitoring and Compliance
- Monitor global policy and regulatory landscape to proactively identify emerging regulation related to sustainability reporting and disclosures.
- Track compliance requirements and coordinate cross-functional workstreams to drive compliance readiness (e.g. CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) & California SB 261/253, & other jurisdictions)
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage directly with clients to communicate FIS’ sustainability performance (e.g. client questionnaires, RFIs, meetings) and provide subject-matter expertise to meet client sustainability expectations.
- Prepare materials for leadership and Board of Directors (via Power BI dashboards) in sharing actionable insights with other teams.
- Develop clear, decision-useful presentations, reports, and narratives for internal and external audiences.
- Respond to requests for ESG data or analysis from across the enterprise
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support facilitation of internal sustainability committees.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to harmonize data, controls, and processes across internal teams.
What You Bring
- Typically, 3 or more years of professional experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG), sustainability, climate, or related role.
- Technical and Regulatory Expertise
- Experience with sustainability reporting and disclosure (e.g. annual sustainability reports, data collection) in alignment with evolving stakeholder expectations.
- Thorough knowledge of corporate sustainability practices, platforms, frameworks and regulations, (CSRD, California SB 261/253, Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure, double materiality, greenhouse gas accounting, CDP, EcoVadis).
- Data, Analytics, and Tools
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, capable of synthesizing information and providing recommendations.
- Demonstrated expertise creating executive-ready presentations via PowerPoint and Power BI for dashboards and data storytelling.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Skilled in building strong business partnerships.
- Adept at managing complex, cross-functional programs and delivering results under tight deadlines in a fast-paced global environment.
- Adaptable self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, navigates ambiguity, and negotiates effectively to align stakeholders across levels, geographies, and functions.
- Executive, Client, and Stakeholder Engagement
- Experience supporting senior executives, building trust quickly, managing messaging, and handling sensitive issues in the company’s best interest.
- Exceptional communicator with effective negotiation skills and capable of presenting to executives and external audiences.
Added Bonus If You Have
- Corporate sustainability experience in financial services, technology, or fintech within regulated, public-company environments.
- Proficiency with Workiva.
- Technical understanding of reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, ESRS, TDFC) and rating agencies (MSCI, ISS).
- Familiarity with science-based targets and net-zero goal setting.
- Ability to integrate climate and sustainability risks into enterprise risk frameworks.
- Sustainability certifications or training in environmental management, accounting, public policy, or risk.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $86,120.00 - $144,670.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
