As the Global Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager you will be a key member of the Global Procurement Category team, Global Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager - Zeolite Category is focused on execution of sourcing strategies to deliver on category strategy as well as end to end delivery of sourcing and supplier management initiatives delivering value from category spend and supplier eco-system.

The role:

As a Global Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager, you will help to drive our goals by:

  • Execute strategic sourcing processes to meet business requirements and deliver optimal result with maximum efficiency.
  • Manage sourcing and suppliers within assigned portfolio to provide capability, agility and best in class solutions to support JM transformation and growth.
  • Contribute to a global category strategy development with sourcing and supplier management perspective as well as inputs from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive best practices in strategic supplier management, performance monitoring and contract management.
  • In a co-operation with Stakeholders and Suppliers work on TCO reduction for the category across sectors and regions
  • Propose and manage annual and multiyear sourcing plans to deliver best value to JM from existing market conditions, business changes and in support of long-term category strategy.
  • Coordinate collaboration and maximise value added from GBS team assigned to support Category team(s)
  • Build and maintain category expertise in market intelligence and insights, as well as other category related developments (innovation, tools, new entrants etc) to lead best in class, competitive solutions.
  • To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Extensive experience in successfully leading and conducting the negotiation of contracts across technical, commercial, and legal areas. (Essential)
  • Ability to facilitate multiple activities at any one time, and effectively communicate current positions. (Essential)
  • Graduate qualification (ideally Master Degree educated), (and/or) proven experience in Automotive, FMCG and/or Chemical procurement of at least 5 years (Essential)
  • Excellent functional Procurement experience managing portfolio across multiple geographies. Is able to include knowledge and experience of world-class portfolio management and sourcing practices (Essential)
  • Ability to operate effectively in different cultures and across geographies, including managing stakeholders and colleagues remotely (across distance and time zones). (Essential)  
  • Experience of leading, motivating and developing people through difficult period/ large change program (Essential)
