This role requires Associates to work a hybrid schedule out of the New York City, NY MVH Hub office.

Seasoned creative director, digital marketer, creative thinker and branding professional with experience in content production, campaign development, digital marketing strategy and project management.

This role leads a team of people shaping the creative vision, fostering a culture of creativity, and ensuring that the company's creative output consistently meets the highest standards of excellence. Responsible for the implementation of a cohesive creative strategy across different projects and campaigns, working closely with other department heads to maintain a unified brand voice.

Demonstrable history of building and implementing innovative social-by-design marketing strategies that generate brand awareness, increase revenue and build social communities. Your creative vision will play a central role in building trust with pet owners, promoting veterinary services, and fostering a loyal online community.

You Will:

Creative Strategy and Leadership

  • Lead the development of the creative vision for digital and social initiatives that align with brand values, veterinary expertise, and pet owner needs.

Innovative Thinking

  • Drive big campaign ideas that work across digital platforms (social, web, email,
  • video, paid media).
  • Oversee concepting, creative direction, and execution of content including video, graphics, animations, and UGC.

Social Expertise & Engagement

  • Lead MVH’s global digital storytelling, content creation, and social media strategy.
  • Direct the social media content strategy (organic and paid) across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging channels.
  • Ensure creative is optimized per platform, audience segment, and trend relevance.

Storytelling

  • Guide storytelling that educates, inspires, and supports pet owners at every stage of their pet’s life.

People/Agency Leadership

  • Oversee a multidisciplinary creative team responsible for developing compelling digital campaigns, social-first content, and engaging brand experiences across all platforms.  
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing in-house or hybrid creative team (designers, copywriters, content producers).

Build Networks

  • Partner with Marketing, Veterinary Experts, and Medical Teams to translate complex pet health topics into engaging, accessible content.
  • Collaborate with agencies and external partners on larger brand initiatives and campaigns.
  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in digital or social media creative roles, with at least 3 in a senior or director-level position.
  • Proven experience leading digital storytelling and content creation for consumer brands — ideally in wellness, pet care, healthcare, or lifestyle.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, visual storytelling, influencer content, and audience engagement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; experienced in managing and inspiring creative teams.
  • A passion for pets and empathy for pet owners — understanding their emotional connection and decision-making journey.  
  • Portfolio demonstrating multi-platform campaigns, video content, and social-first creative work.
  • Experience in DTC (direct-to-consumer) brand marketing.
  • Familiarity with SEO, CRM content, or community-building strategies.

Salary Range: $169,884 - $265,444

Compensation is determined based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and market competitiveness.

Special Working Considerations:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
