Global Retail Production and Rollout Manager

About the Role

As Dyson's Retail Production, Rollout & Implementation Manager, you'll be instrumental in shaping our retail footprint across the Asia markets. This role connects global retail strategy with local execution, ensuring our Direct & Indirect retail channels are delivered to the highest standards of Stores and Fixtures - on time, on budget and sustainable.

 

You'll champion innovation in how stores & fixtures are rolled out together with New Product launches, driving continual improvement and retail excellence.

 

You'll be reporting to Global Head of Retail Production based in UK, closely partnering with Global design stakeholders based in Singapore and collaborating closely with market retail teams

By capturing local insight and sharing best practices, you'll ensure our stores reflect Dyson's vision everywhere making our retail estates sharper, faster, and more efficient.

 

Key Responsibilities :

Store Implementation

  • Oversee the complete store opening programme of your markets, partnering Market Teams and Global Implementation stakeholders to deliver the stores to open on Brand, on time and on Cost.

  • Upskill and develop market retail teams and external vendors on Dyson standards and expectations.

  • Be an escalation point for significant risks or decision making that requires global stakeholder input.

  • Think creatively to propose better ways of delivering better stores with regards to cost, rollout speed, durability and execution; proactively partner and engage with global implementation, design, development and cost-management stakeholders.

  • Partner with procurement functions to create regional frameworks for professional partners that drive cost, speed to market, consistency and Dyson understanding.

  • Champion global reporting / approval tools across your markets, and drive compliance across all relevant parties to satisfy internal requirements.

  

Production & Rollout  (Direct & Indirect POS)

  • Partnering with SG based Group Designers & Market Retail Teams to develop fixture solutions based on commercial requirements.

  • Develop local cultural awareness in each market, translating group retail strategy into relevant local actions, creating practical implementation tools, and training teams to become self-sufficient.

  • Oversee the maintenance and support of retail footprints, including proactive and reactive maintenance, and contribute to the development and upkeep of inventory and database systems.

  • Own the quality control of retail production for your markets through consistent physical and virtual reviews, and share learnings from key installations to continuously improve standards.

  • Monitor market and supplier performance against KPIs, represent Dyson’s expectations to suppliers, and gather feedback from markets to help shape future group retail strategy and creative initiatives.

  • Attend key installations and deliver learnings to stakeholders

  • Oversee the ongoing standard of retail footprints, including proactive and reactive maintenance, and contribute to the development and upkeep of inventory and database systems.

  • Capture and document regional and market best practices, facilitating cross-market knowledge sharing through reports, workshops, and stakeholder briefings.

 

Supplier Management

  • Maintain and develop relationships with key Dyson Global suppliers by prioritising Dyson interest and market expectations. 

  • Partner with Global Head of Production & Suppliers to manage Supply chain issues to resolution

  • Lead supplier relationship management, including onboarding, performance tracking against KPIs, and regular review meetings.

  • Take responsibility for partnering with the Global Head of Production and suppliers to resolve supply chain issues and lead regular supplier performance reviews.

  • Constant Negotiation to achieve optimum cost, schedule reliability, and supplier understanding of Dyson standards.

  • Represent group towards the Suppliers, ensuring that they understand the Dyson
DNA and the expected Retail Standards

About You: 

  • +7 year experience in retail or similar construction or implementation / development
type roles within Asia.

  • Robust programme & project management skills

  • Strong Cultural awareness

  • Comprehensive understanding of design and an ability to review architectural, construction & fixture drawings with an appreciation of materials and production arrangement

  • Knowledge and experience of best practice contract and supplier relationship management approaches, methodologies and procurement processes

  • Experience in managing external vendors: building a relationships and drive performance.

  • Strong reporting capability focusing on cost, risk and schedule.

  • Excellent communication skillset; ability to navigate, manage and influence a complex stakeholder matrix at varying levels of seniority.

  • Proven ability to juggle a large workload, set appropriate priorities and deliver.

  • An exceptional team player with credibility & integrity; you must be hyper collaborative with strong listening skills.

  • Engaged, creative, curious, quick thinking and alert with a natural inclination to generate and stimulate ideas and opportunities

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking initiative.

  • Architectural, construction and/or project management qualification is preferable.
