As part of the Super Circle Financial & Regulatory Reporting, the COREP & Liquidity Reporting Circle is responsible for the preparation and delivery of Solvency and Liquidity related external regulatory reports. We are the operational owner of these reporting processes and directly serve Group Finance in delivering timely, accurate regulatory reports, whilst continuously improving the way we work, within a Global Team.

We are looking for a new team member who enjoys working at the intersection of regulatory reporting and process improvements and feel connected to the COOF purpose of being the heartbeat of Finance, enabling excellence. You will support in preparing the regulatory reports, manage stakeholders at Head Office level, take end-2-end ownership and pursue operational excellence by making current reporting processes more efficient and onboarding work from ING locations all over the world. Examples are: reducing Excel dependency, improving data flows, redesigning or streamlining reporting processes, and contributing to strategic initiatives that offers scalable finance solutions (this includes GenAI solutions).

  • Executing ING Finance and COO strategy to evolve towards one global digital bank and designing the global finance operations and technology strategy (together with ING’s TECH organisation);
  • Optimising accounting and reporting productivity (and customer satisfaction) for both statutory, regulatory and management reporting.

Responsibilities of the Accounting & Reporting Expert in the team:

  • You take ownership and manage your stakeholders
  • You create structure and a standardizations to reporting processes
  • Prepare, analyse and deliver high quality regulatory reporting products
  • Drive process optimisation and automation initiatives, in close collaboration with Tribes, IT and other Finance stakeholders
  • Contribute to a strong control environment, ensuring compliance with relevant control frameworks
  • Analyse and comment on changing accounting/regulatory requirements  
  • Work as part of a cross‑border COOF team, sharing knowledge and supporting a consistent way of working across locations

Furthermore, you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a professional function
  • A strong and proven change-mindset to drive operational excellence
  • Experience with external reporting (statutory and/or regulatory), preferably within a Banking environment
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand data-driven end‑to‑end reporting flows (from source data to submission).
  • Awareness of the importance of data for a bank and ready to make the link between regulation and technology
  • Familiarity with Regulatory Reporting standards such as Basel and CRR
  • Current residency in the Netherlands and fluent in the English language (C2)
  • Experience from a Big-4 accountancy firm is a big plus
