The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As the Global Real Estate, Facilities, & Fleet Director, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Strategic Leadership and Business Alignment:

  • Lead global real estate, facilities, and fleet partner relationship with a focus on governance and efficiency.
  • Develop the portfolio strategy with business leadership to map out a clear plan of record for each area.
  • Report on usage, financial performance, direction on a set cadence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to future-proof operational strategy.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support team regional leadership with critical transaction direction and expertise.

Process Standardization and Optimization:

  • Implement a global plan of record (POR) to enable look ahead proactive portfolio movements.
  • Ensure compliance with global financial and operational standards.
  • Develop clear business case and financial analysis alignment between partners and the business.

Financial Oversight and Governance:

  • Partner with finance teams to ensure accurate reconciliation of payments against leases, contracts, and commitments.
  • Identify and plan for Capital investments and new properties.
  • Develop robust reporting and analytics capabilities to track financial health and process performance.
  • Own the budget, costs, and performance of our outsourced service providers to deliver value for the services.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a strategic partner to finance, procurement, EHS, tax, and regional stakeholders, to ensure portfolio downstream reporting is accurate to meet company goals.
  • Engage in separation and M&A activities through due diligence efforts, reviewing portfolio impacts and adjustments.

Team Leadership

  • Lead team of direct reports who administer these services globally for Solventum. Drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational design and health with the team.
  • Set stretch objectives for team members and coach them for successful outcomes.

Change Management and Training:

  • Lead change management initiatives to implement new processes and systems.
  • Develop training materials and programs to upskill global and regional teams on standardized workflows.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND twelve (12) years of Global Real Estate, Facilities, and Fleet Operations experience in a private, public, government or military environment.  

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED AND sixteen (16) years of Global Real Estate, Facilities, and Fleet Operations experience in a private, public, government or military environment.  

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Eight (8) years of operational experience in real estate and facilities portfolio and vendor management.
  • Experience in ERP systems and financial process automation.
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated experience managing large, diverse real estate portfolios across geographies for an owner/operator company.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)
  • Experience working internationally for a large healthcare manufacturing company
  • Strong business, contract language, and financial acumen
  • Ability to communicate, influence, and collaborate across regional stakeholders, which includes excellent verbal and written communications

Work location:

  • Remote (United States)
    • Preferred locations are Eagan, MN or San Antonio, TX

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $211,600 - $290,950, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
