The Position
The Global Process Excellence Lead will join our ESS Global Employee Services (GES) team based in Lisbon, Portugal or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, the incumbent will provide expert‑level project and transition leadership to the GES Leadership Team, while playing a strategic and operational role in shaping how Employee Services are delivered globally.
They will be responsible for the end‑to‑end design, governance, optimization, and transition of global GES processes, ensuring consistent, efficient, and high‑quality service delivery across all regions. This includes leading global projects, managing complex multi‑country transitions, overseeing global process documentation, and ensuring organizational readiness for newly transitioned services.
Additionally, the role will lead and develop a small team focused on process excellence, standardization, and transition coordination.
Responsibilities:
Owns and governs all Global Employee Services processes end‑to‑end – including process mapping and documentation – ensuring global standardization, compliance with regional requirements, and full alignment with the GES operating model across all regions.
Drives process excellence and continuous improvement, proactively identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and inconsistencies, and leading corrective actions that enhance quality, scalability, and employee experience.
Leads global GES transition and transformation projects, managing multi‑country transitions from discovery through go‑live and stabilization.
Ensures operational readiness and knowledge transfer, overseeing SOP creation, documentation, training preparation, and readiness assessments for newly transitioned services.
Provides strategic cross‑functional alignment, partnering with HRBPs, COEs, Payroll, HR Services Pillar Leads, GES Regional Leads and other GES LT members, and other key stakeholders to ensure process consistency, escalation management, and solution alignment.
Leads a team of two direct reports responsible for process mapping, documentation, and project management and transition coordination.
Maintains global process repositories, ensuring accuracy and governance for process maps, SOPs, guides, and documentation libraries, and supporting audit‑readiness and process transparency.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5–7+ years of experience in HR Operations, Employee Services, Global HR Shared Services, or HR project management.
Maintains global process repositories, ensuring accuracy and governance for process maps, SOPs, guides, and documentation libraries, and supporting audit‑readiness and process transparency.
Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes at global and regional levels.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms, preferably Workday and SNOW.
Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Miro, Visio, Lucidchart).
Leadership, Change Management, Resilience, Strategic Mindset, Influence and Results Oriented.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
