You will be part of the The Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) Operations team who are responsible for supporting operational continuity of payment, clearing and settlement activity for DB material relationships held with FMIs and Agent Banks in a stress scenario.  

The team manage a data collection across internal operations teams globally, which drives a materiality assessment to determine the key relationships for the DB group.

You will also be responsible for the coordination and delivery of evolving regulatory requirements for resolution planning on behalf of the DB Group.

Your key responsibilities

  • Maintain regular engagement with business and infrastructure teams to discuss cross market and cross product plans strategic.

  • Support regular agent bank relationship meetings representing DB; monitor performance, ensure adherence to audit and regulatory standards, and escalate operational and service issues as required when necessary.

  • Support the Request for Proposal (RfP) process, including preparation of documentation for the GNM Operating Council on agent bank selection and appointment.

  • Monitor regulatory and market developments, summarising and communicating business impacts across DB.

  • Support strategic reviews and assist with pricing discussions with agent banks, and monitor infrastructure charges.

  • Manage adherence to the DB Third Party Risk Management (DbTPRM) policy for agent banks, including coordination of due diligence, ongoing risk assessments, issue remediation and engagement with internal risk and control functions.

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent written skills, with the ability to review complex documentation, interpret regulatory guidance, and independently draft material suitable for regulatory submission.

  • Strong regulatory and risk awareness, with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage workloads effectively within tight timeframes.

  • Confident in coordinating, hosting and minuting calls with senior management and external stakeholders, managing sensitive relationship issues appropriately.

  • Experience in Network Management, Custody, Cash, Control, Operations or Client Services, with understanding of custody and cash products, clearing houses, CSDs, payment systems, and Recovery and Resolution Planning.
