The Global Mobility Team (GMT) aspires to provide seamless end-to-end services to ensure that the business is able to relocate employees and external hires from one country to another in a cost effective manner and the employees have a great experience when relocating. This ensures that we are maximising the return on investment for the business of these relocations and assignments as well as ensuring our people are experiencing global diversity with their careers at the Commonwealth Bank Group.

Risk mitigation and ensuring our employees and processes are globally compliant is an essential part of the GMT’s role in conjunction with our third party providers. This includes immigration, tax, pension and employment law compliance.

Your role:

The beauty of the global mobility team the CBA Group is the diversity and breadth of the program ensuring no two days feel the same.

The key aspects of the Analyst role with the Commonwealth Bank will include:

  • Managing and delegating enquiries via the team’s shared mailbox

  • Managing and tracking international working from home cases to 8 countries around the world

  • Partnering with the business and Talent Acquisition (Recruiters) to provide Australian immigration advice regarding work visas and contract considerations

  • Primary point of contact for Australian visa and permanent residency applications for both the external immigration provider, the business, Talent Acquisition and employees

  • Reviewing and approving third party vendor invoices for the full Global Mobility lifecycle

  • Tracking and updating the Group’s Global Mobility population

  • Working with employees and the Group’s tax provider to manage and settle tax equalization calculations for employees

  • End to end management of the Global Mobility Bank account including monthly reconciliation and coordinating with accounts payable to provide details regarding invoicing and coordinating employee contributions to permanent residency costs

  • Managing the provision of information for annual projects such as Global tax returns, P11Ds and W2s

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Previous in-house or professional services global mobility experience.

  • Self- motivated with excellent organisation and time management skills.

  • Superior internal and external customer service ethic and focus.

  • Proficient use of computer applications (PowerPoint/Excel).

  • Ability to work independently and be able to effectively prioritise workload.

  • Continuous improvement focus on process efficiencies.

  • Knowledge of Australian immigration will be an advantage.
