Global Middle Office Analyst

The Global Middle Office Analyst is responsible for delivering end-to-end operational support across trade matching, settlements, post-settlement activities, and cash management. This role serves as a key liaison between Front Office, brokers, custodians, and internal teams to resolve trade and cash queries while mitigating operational and settlement risks. The position demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, timely issue escalation, and effective collaboration with global counterparts. Additional responsibilities include maintaining process documentation, performing root cause analysis, and driving process improvements and automation initiatives. Success in this role requires excellent communication, critical thinking, and adaptability for cross-skilling in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform day to day operational support (Trade Matching, Settlements and Post settlements, Cash management), prioritizing as necessary.

Communicate, investigate and resolve trade and cash queries and issues raised by Front Office (Portfolio Managers/Traders) Brokers, Custodians, and Internal Investment teams.

Ability to cover tasks that might arise from coverage issues.

Actively manage risks including but not limited to Operational, Reputational and Settlement.

Ensure strong understanding of tasks assigned including investment concepts, best practices, and system requirements.

Ensure willingness to participate in Cross skilling assignments.

Timely escalation of issues to SME/TL. Proactively mitigate process gaps or potential issues. Assist in creating and updating process documents.

Ability to think critically and act timely on issue resolutions and escalations.

Manage and maintain good working relationships with Front Office, Onshore and Offshore counterparts.

Support analysis to identify root cause of production problems and errors (SOE)and develop timely solutions.

Strong communication skills and use of tact to resolve conflicts.

Propose projects and process automations to promote service excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related business course.
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience within Trade Support, Middle Office, Investment Operations, and/or Fund Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge in securities instruments and Investment Operational processes.
  • Good analytical and diagnostic skills with knowledge and a strong ability to understand process design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills. (verbal, written, and reading comprehension)
  • Demonstrates strong flexibility in the face of ambiguous situations, shifting demands, and challenging work environments. Uses diplomacy and tact to resolve difficult situations. Escalates more serious issues to the Team Manager.
  • Understand the concepts surrounding Trade Support functions and the trade life cycle. Middle office functions, trade settlements, and cash management experience are highly preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of using Bloomberg and other pricing/data sources.
  • Knowledge in CTM, ALERT, APEX, SCD, and Custodian Portals is highly preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge regarding Data Management, Pricing, Settlements, Reconciliation, Transactions, and Transfer processes
