Role Summary:
The Global Planning Manager - Industrial Pumps is responsible for developing and executing global materials and inventory planning strategies across Flowserve’s Industrial Pumps business. This manager-level individual contributor role provides strategic leadership without direct people management, leading through influence to align regional and site-based teams on global standards, processes, and performance objectives. The role plays a critical part in optimizing inventory, improving material availability, and supporting operational and financial performance worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy global inventory and materials planning strategies aligned with Industrial Pumps operational and financial objectives.
- Lead strategic initiatives focused on inventory optimization, material availability, and working capital improvement across regions.
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and sales teams to align demand, supply, and inventory plans.
- Establish, standardize, and monitor global KPIs such as inventory turns, service levels, material shortages, and excess & obsolete inventory.
- Drive global planning governance, standard processes, and best-practice sharing across Industrial Pumps manufacturing sites.
- Apply planning and inventory methodologies including safety stock optimization, lead-time reduction, and demand-driven planning concepts.
- Support ERP and planning system enhancements, ensuring consistent data, master data discipline, and planning execution globally.
- Influence and coordinate cross-functional and cross-regional teams to execute improvement initiatives without direct authority.
- Provide analytical insights and recommendations to senior operations leadership to support strategic and investment decisions.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience driving global or multi-site planning and inventory improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Syteline, or similar planning platforms.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead change without direct authority.
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
