ING

Global Management Consultant

CDR (Amsterdam - Cedar) Full time

We are hiring a Management Consultant to help ING move forward on key strategic priorities across the bank. In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders to understand their most important challenges and translate them into clear, practical plans. You will support topics such as shaping ING’s strategy, improving ways of working, redesigning team and organisational structures, and turning long‑term ambitions into realistic, actionable steps.

You will help clarify complex issues, break them into manageable components, and support decision‑making by presenting clear options and recommendations. You will lead initiatives from problem definition through solution development and prepare teams for effective implementation. Your work will help ING make better decisions, improve alignment across the organisation and deliver meaningful, sustainable progress.

Examples of the type of work you might do include:

We ensure that strategic plans are not only well‑designed but can also be carried out effectively and sustainably.

  • Analyse complex business or technology challenges and translate them into clear, practical recommendations

  • Turn strategic ideas into concrete objectives, measurable outcomes and clear plans for implementation

  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to build alignment and ensure everyone moves in the same direction

  • Identify risks early, use data to guide decisions, and help keep projects on track

  • Contribute to developing tools, templates and ways of working that strengthen how ING executes change

  • Prepare clear, compelling presentations and storylines for senior management
