Job Description

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Monitor and enhance platform performance to optimize end-user experience and improve overall business process workflows.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, assess platform capabilities, and convey system limitations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, configure, and document platform enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee development and testing processes, including unit testing, user acceptance testing, integration testing, and regression testing, to ensure successful implementation.
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and data quality.
  • Troubleshoot user requests, addressing technical issues related to workflows, security, and interfaces to support problem resolution.
  • Create test scripts, participate in user acceptance testing, and develop training materials to assist with end-user training and adoption.
  • Share expert functional and technical knowledge to improve team competence and ensure smooth platform operations.

Global IT Production Management Specialist – India/Mexico

Job Details

 

Position Purpose

·       Member of the Global Production Management team that provides second level support for global production management processes and engage business partners and customers for production process issue resolution.

·       Manage and improve IT environment maintenance activities such as outages and releases and support IT projects with production process implementation. Functions as an analytical & administrative resource for Global Production Management.

·       Additionally, provides support within the wider Application Infrastructure Services group. Helping to drive increased automation and orchestration within the scope of team services and to expand usage of Cloud Native services

 

Major/Key Accountabilities

 

·       Supports automation and orchestration of services within the function, including expansion of Cloud Native services on our AWS and Azure platforms

·       Manage daily production processes such as batch jobs, interfaces, and file transfers across multiple Enterprise Applications

·       Manage Month-end and Year-end production processing activities

·       Manage the co-ordination and orchestration of system and whole environment planned outages and releases.

·       Support IT projects with implementation of new production processes

·       Provide technical support for environments and tools used by GPM team to manage production processes

·       On-call responsibilities for 24x7 global applications

·       Maintain Documentation to a high standard

Experience

·       3 - 5 years’ experience with BMC Control-M or other job scheduling applications.

·       1 - 3 years’ experience with SAP Applications and other business applications.

·       1-3 years experience with AWS and/or MS Azure Cloud services

Skills and Knowledge

·       BMC Control-M

·       SAP Applications

·       AWS and/or MS Azure cloud services

·       Automation/Orchestration tools such as XL-Release & Ansible

·       Programming and Unix scripting knowledge

·       Strong analytical skills and continual improvement mindset

·       Knowledge of computer programs including strong Excel, Outlook or similar programs

 

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or a relevant Business field, or equivalent education/experience

Desirable Qualifications

·       SAP applications

·       AWS and/or MS Azure cloud certifications
