Position: Global I&E Marketing Analyst Intern
Location: KEEN’s Global Headquarters in Portland, Oregon (on-site)
Duration: 10 weeks
Compensation: $22/hour
Program Duration: Monday, June 15th – Friday, August 21st

What You'll Do

As an Intern at KEEN (KEENtern), you’ll dive into the exciting world of footwear, innovation, and community! You’ll get hands-on experience working alongside industry experts and contribute to shaping the future of KEEN.

The Marketing Analyst Intern will work closely with Global Marketing and cross-functional teams to deliver on four high-impact priorities, incorporating AI where it enhances efficiency and insight quality: 

Market & Consumer (Fan) Insight Reports – Conduct market benchmarking, fan surveys/interviews, and trend analyses to inform upstream Strategy & Creative briefs. Use AI tools for social listening, sentiment analysis, and trend forecasting to surface emerging consumer insights. 

KPI Frameworks & Templates – Develop standardized QBR and recap templates, along with story-filtering criteria aligned to brand and business KPIs. Integrate automated KPI dashboards using generative AI (e.g., Power BI Copilot, Tableau GPT) to produce natural language performance summaries. 

Global Data Collection Tools – Create cross-regional templates and documentation to ensure consistent KPI tracking and reporting. 

Strategic Research Projects – Support post-season recaps and brand health tracking across campaigns and investment categories. Leverage AI for campaign impact summarizationbrand health tracking automation, and to prototype a lightweight internal AI “marketing insights assistant” that can answer key performance questions such as which stories achieved the strongest adoption or engagement globally. 

This role will provide visibility into how marketing insights translate into creative focus, operational efficiency, and stronger brand performance while equipping the intern with foundational skills in data analysis, AI-assisted research, and global marketing operations. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Improve visibility into global marketing performance and investment effectiveness. 
  • Provide analytical backbone for upstream planning and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Automate or simplify reporting by systematizing recurring data and insight processes through AI-assisted dashboards and analysis.
  • Explore how AI can enhance brand intelligence, enabling faster, deeper, and more actionable insights for GTM planning.

Program Requirements:

To qualify for this internship, you must:

  • Pursuing degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, or Data Science.
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Commit to a 10-week program from mid-June through mid-August
  • Dedicate 40 hours per week during standard M-F, PST working hours
  • All roles are located in Portland, OR. Must be able to move to Portland during the duration of the internship if you are not already living here.
  • Plan no more than four total days of vacation during the internship
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail in preparation of presentations, reports, and materials 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team. 
  • Comfortable sitting at a desk and using a computer for extended periods of time. 
  • Knowledge of the footwear industry, fashion trends, and consumer insights is a plus. 
  • Proficient in Excel/Sheets; experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio preferred.
  • Curiosity or foundational understanding of AI tools for analytics and automation (preferred but not required).
  • Strong analytical thinking and data storytelling skills.
