Who we are looking for

The Head of Capital Management and RRP is accountable for developing and delivering the firm’s capital plans and forecasts as well aligning the Resolution and Recovery plans and capabilities across all treasury risk verticals , while ensuring compliance with evolving global regulatory standards and internal risk appetite.

This executive serves as a key advisor to senior management and ALCO, providing rigorous analytics, forward‑looking insights, and disciplined governance over key principal risks under normal and stressed conditions.

What you will be responsible for

Capital Planning and Position Management

  • Own and execute the firm‑wide capital planning processes, including CCAR and quarterly stress tests.
  • Manage the firm’s actual capital position within target ranges and risk appetite for CET1, Tier 1 Leverage, GSIB, and related metrics
  • Develop sensitivity analysis to understand capital and risk weighted asset impacts resulting from changes in key macroeconomic factors
  • Recommend dividend levels, share buybacks and payout ratios for executive management.
  • Establish capital contingency plans and related trigger frameworks to manage the firm through the stress continuum.  Align BAU, contingency and resolution frameworks to provide effective governance and decision making through a stress event.
  • Develop and implement capital allocation framework, cost of capital, and capital attributions to derive returns on capital.
  • Develop capital targets, dividend targets, and capital injections as required for operating companies as well as potential acquisition targets
  • Align capabilities for rapid estimation of resolution and recovery forecasted capital and liquidity execution needs, working in conjunction with other Treasury risk verticals

Governance, Committees & Board Engagement

  • Serve as a senior member of ALCO and related sub‑committees, to foster robust escalation, challenge, and decision‑making.
  • Provide clear, Board‑level reporting on capital position, macroeconomic sensitivities, capital allocations and returns, translating complex analytics into actionable insights.
  • Partner closely with Risk and Internal Audit to maintain strong three‑lines‑of‑defense governance.
  • Work with businesses to review new product proposals and recommend any changes to align with commercial and risk management objectives

Regulatory & Supervisory Engagement

  • Assess and develop remediation plans to comply with global regulatory standards and supervisory expectations for capital management and resolution planning for GSIFIs.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for regulators on Capital and Resolution and Recovery‑related matters, examinations, and thematic reviews.
  • Coordinate, maintain, govern and submit capital plans and resolution and recovery plans in line with regulatory requirements

Analytics, Models & Infrastructure

  • Oversee model development for key forecasting models as well as controls framework to align, drive accuracy, transparency, and alignment with model risk governance.
  • Drive continuous enhancement of forecasting, scenario analysis, and stress testing capabilities to anticipate macroeconomic and market shifts.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop a high‑performing global Capital Management and Resolution & Recovery Planning organization, fostering strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and risk culture.
  • Build deep succession and bench strength for critical Capital and Resolution and Recovery  roles across regions.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Capital Management, Treasury, Balance Sheet Management, or Financial Risk within a large, complex financial institution.
  • Demonstrated experience operating at scale within a GSIFI or similarly regulated global firm.
  • Deep expertise in capital management, resolution planning, and regulatory engagement
  • Strong competency in developing sustainable production and control processes
  • Proven ability to engage credibly with Boards, regulators, and senior executives.

Salary Range:

$225,000 - $337,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
