As part of our Crystal Brand Unit, home to our dynamic, timely, highly creative and mixable non-aged brands, the Head of Business Strategy plays a key role in shaping and driving the mid- to long-term strategic agenda of the Business Unit (BU). The role supports the definition of strategic priorities, go-to-market direction, and portfolio choices, while partnering closely with the Business Strategy Office (BSO) to integrate Pernod Ricard’s strategic vision into BU plans.
The position combines market intelligence, data-driven insights, and business foresight to support sustainable growth beyond the 3-year horizon.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the definition of BU mid- and long-term strategy, including portfolio strategy, brand and market prioritization, and strategic inflections
- Support the BU Business Strategy Director in structuring strategic choices by brand group, key battlegrounds, and investment priorities
- Help shape the BU go-to-market strategy (portfolio, moments of consumption, revenue growth management, route-to-market), in close collaboration with Brand, Consumer Insights, and Finance teams
- Integrate consumer, category, channel, and macro trends to ensure the BU strategy is forward-looking and resilient
- Ensure alignment and integration of BU strategic priorities with Global teams and Markets & Entities
- Contribute to the 3-Year Strategic Plan, ensuring clear links between performance, mid-term initiatives, and long-term bets
- Support ad hoc strategic projects across the BU (e.g. portfolio growth, innovation business cases, strategic analyses)
- Drive competitive intelligence and strategic insights within BU scope, in coordination with the Business Strategy Office
- Contribute to the development of key BU strategy deliverables (e.g. Strategy Playbook)
Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, business development, marketing, or commercial analysis roles
- Experience in a strategy consulting firm is a strong plus
- Proven strategy and/or business development experience
- Strong data analytics background, with the ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations
- Experience in business planning and strategic processes
- International exposure across markets and/or functions is an advantage
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
