Meet the team:

Dexcom is seeking a talented Global Events Manager to join the commercial organization. The Global Events Manager is responsible for leading international and US based conferences, tradeshows and customer events, from concept through execution. Candidates must have strong communication, leadership and project management skills, as well as experience building and managing relationships with senior leadership. This position will also be expected to develop and maintain key industry relationships to create, expand and/or reinforce the Dexcom brand.

This role will also support the marketing teams in the development of innovative event marketing plans and programs that drive demand and loyalty of our life-changing products and services.

Where you come in:

  • Plan, manage, and execute end-to-end live and virtual events, including tradeshows, conferences, webinars, executive programs, and internal events.
  • Understand broader marketing strategy and effectively translate it into impactful, brand‑aligned tradeshow plans, messaging, and onsite execution.
  • Oversee complex, simultaneous events and marketing initiatives, while delivering on time, within budget and exceeding expectations.
  • Provide strategic leadership for industry conferences, driving programs from initial concept through full delivery while guiding cross-functional teams to achieve defined objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with leadership, key stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Lead meetings and conference calls to direct teams, be articulate in providing guidance, with an ability to make informed and strategic decisions.
  • Support marketing, design, and production resources to ensure high quality work with purpose and vision.
  • Manage large scale tradeshows with the ability to be strategic with sponsorship funding and flawless booth development and execution.
  • Ability to execute onsite logistics and maintain a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Stay current on event technologies, marketing tools, and industry best practices to drive innovation.
  • Negotiate contract terms that are favorable to the company with suppliers related to production, hospitality, logistics, food and beverage, creative services, supplies and other elements.
  • Analyze event performance, prepare detailed post-event reports, and complete financial reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Partner closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure full adherence to regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Support Speaker Bureau operations through effective agency management, coordination of HCP engagements, and oversight of annual training programs.

  • Experience with conventions, logistics, housing bureaus, and professional/medical organizations and societies preferred.
  • External supplier and agency management & process optimization.
  • Ability to be innovative and think outside of the box.
  • Hands-on approach to your work and are adept at leading internal and external resources to create content and communications that support the strategy.
  • Highly organized and process-oriented.
  • Experience managing department budgets and tracking spend.
  • Proactive, self-starter, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced working environment.

Travel Required:

  • 25 to 50%

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience

Remote Workplace:

Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.

Salary:

$100,700.00 - $167,900.00
