Job Description

To provide the customers with high quality, tailored client service by ensuring that they are served promptly, understanding their needs and processing their requests. Manage the service processes supporting the offshore investment products, with focus on global endowment product. Provide specialist support to clients and business to enhance the global endowment product offering, process improvements and platform journey. Deliver proactive client service and administrative support to clients in relation to the global endowment clients. The role demands a deep understanding of investment mandates, client intent, and local and global regulatory frameworks to ensure every client interaction and transaction is executed efficiently and accurately.

Are you someone who can:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all client queries and interactions
  • Manage costs / expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
  • Deliver exceptional first-contact resolution, ensuring a proactive client experience
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to KYC, AML, FAIS, FICA, FATCA, CRS and other regulatory standards applicable to global investment products. Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
  • Manage existing client queries and provide applicable query resolution
  • Liaise with internal investment, product owners, operational, and administrative to resolve queries ensuring timely action
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of client information, investment mandates, resolutions, and correspondence

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Maintenance of expert knowledge on specific products, pricing, application procedure, processing and timelines to drive and achieve relevant product and service targets
  • Track and manage service level agreements (SLAs), ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery including own performance metrics
  • Maintain awareness of relevant market, product, process and regulatory developments or changes impacting global endowments and clients
  • Identify and escalate legal, risks, compliance and service issues, or process inefficiencies thus contributing to service excellence, accuracy and continuous improvement
  • Manage own development to increase own competencies

We can be a match if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Investment Management, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in client service, investment administration, or relationship management within an asset management, wealth management, or fiduciary environment
  • A proven background in a global investments service role or equivalent
  • Prior experience servicing endowments, trusts, or institutional clients will be advantageous
  • High attention to detail, operational accuracy, time management, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously                                                                                                                    
  • The ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive market environment
  • Experience of global investment products and global instruments like shares, unit trusts, segregated mandates, multi-manager portfolios, fund accounting, and performance
  • Good knowledge of South African and Guernsey compliance requirements for customer onboarding and screening
  • Knowledge of exchange control regulations and currency conversions
  • Familiarity with Tax regulations, Long-term Insurance Act and the Insurance Act
  • The ability to explain technical analysis concepts and tools to retail clients
  • Sound knowledge of KYC/AML requirements specifically the Guernsey (GFSC) requirements.
  • Experience with CRM systems, MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Integrity, accountability, service-orientation, and ability to work collaboratively across teams (investments, operations, compliance)
