Global Circle Lead – Cost Invoicing and Recharge Services (Vice President)

Overview:

As part of ING’s Think Forward Strategy, this leadership role is pivotal in shaping a world-class finance operations capability that delivers exceptional value to global business partners. The Global Circle Lead will own the global strategy for cost invoicing and recharge services, driving operational excellence, compliance, and innovation across multiple regions. This position requires a visionary leader who can transform processes, lead high-performing teams, and influence strategic priorities at a global scale.

As a Global Circle Lead, you will report hierarchically to the Management Accounting Area Lead of Finance Services ING Hubs Philippines and functionally to the Global COOF Management Accounting Super Circle Lead.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to oversee global Cost Invoicing & Recharge Services within our finance organization. This role is responsible for defining and executing the vision for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Processes, ensuring compliance with global policies, and driving operational excellence across regions. He/she will lead a high-performing team, manage end-to-end service delivery, and act as the key escalation point for strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Define and execute the global strategy for cost invoicing and recharge processes, ensuring alignment with ING’s finance policies and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set priorities for COO Finance and shape the organization’s future operating model.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end service delivery for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and related finance operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs to maintain world-class service standards.
  • Deliver the services to the customers at agreed level, manage and report on the performance.
  • Act as the ultimate escalation point for strategic and operational issues.
  • Build connection with the stakeholders, understand their needs/issues/concerns and reacting on those.
  • Ensure alignment with global finance policies, compliance standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Partner with sourcing and transition teams to standardize onboarding requirements and procedures.
  • Approve Knowledge Transfer (KT) plans for new country/process onboardings and oversee Work Process Instructions (WPIs) updates.

Global Standardization & Value Creation

  • Champion consistency and standardization across regions, ensuring sustainable and scalable operations.
  • Partner with sourcing and transition teams to streamline onboarding and knowledge transfer for new countries and processes.
  • Design future-state processes aligned with global standards in collaboration with process excellence teams.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Implement robust controls to mitigate compliance and operational risks.
  • Proactively identify and escalate strategic risks, ensuring timely resolution.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and inspire a global team, fostering a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous learning.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and capability building across the organization.
  • Identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development to build their professional capabilities. Coach and mentor the team members supporting the development of the talent pool.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and collaboration across geographies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in global finance operations, with deep expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable and other finance related processes.
  • Proven track record in leading large, diverse teams and managing complex global transitions.
  • Strong experience in continuous improvement, change management, and process optimization.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at an international level.
  • Ability to adapt to different cultures and business environments, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; results-driven and comfortable working under tight deadlines.
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement certification.
