Position Overview

DuPont is seeking a Global Application Development Manager for its Tyvek® Roll Goods Business. The role provides global technical leadership in support of the Healthcare Packaging and Consumer & Industrial business strategy, setting the strategic direction for Application Development and Technical Service execution in close partnership with business leaders. It drives short‑term, innovation‑led growth initiatives by leveraging insights from customers and market engagement and by enabling strong cross‑functional collaboration to deliver consistent, high‑quality technical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Support Tyvek® RG (C&IC and HCP) business strategy through technical leadership:
- Set the strategic direction for global Tyvek® Roll Goods Application Development activities
- Lead Global Technical Service and Application Development Execution:
- Ensure consistent technical excellence and customer support
- Lead fitness-for-use assessments of product changes in accordance with QMS standards and relevant industry requirements
- Contribute to the creation of industry-specific standards and testing methods by joining relevant industry associations and standards organizations
- Short-term Innovation Portfolio:
- Identify and drive short-term renewal & growth opportunities in well-established applications and/or existing accounts
- Prioritize and lead Application Development across productivity, core and short-term innovation programs
- Maintain visibility across global customer requirements and VOC insights to influence technical roadmaps
- Customer Engagement & Market Influence:
- Serve as a global technical ambassador, strengthening relationships with strategic customers and external partners
- Drive differentiated value propositions through deep application expertise and competitive benchmarking
- Cross Functional Integration:
- Partner with R&D, Product Management, Regulatory, Sustainability Product Stewardship, Sales, Marketing, Quality, MT and Operations to deliver customer-centric, cohesive technical and commercial execution
- Lead, coach, and develop Application Development Engineers across regions
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline
- 5+ years of successful people management experience
- Demonstrated experience leading global cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder networks
- The following qualifications and experience, if available, are considered important assets:
- 10+ years of experience in innovation, business development, strategic marketing, or technology roles in materials, packaging, industrial solutions, or related fields is strongly preferred
- 5+ years expertise in innovation program management with track record of successful delivery
- Experience in lean innovation and statistical data analysis tools
- Experience in VOC collection with excellent listening skills and evaluating business cases applying the Desirability, Viability and Feasibility framework
- Creative, innovative and entrepreneurial mindset with strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Strong ability to connect market needs with technical capabilities and translate them into innovation strategies
- Strong networking, collaboration and negotiation skills with stakeholders
- Proven financial acumen and capability to build compelling business cases
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English required; additional languages (German, French) are a strong plus.
- Multi-cultural experience and willingness to travel globally up to 25%
