We’re on the lookout for a talented and versatile Glazier to join our team, supporting a busy responsive repairs contract in Dover. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance across a range of trades, ensuring residents’ homes are safe, functional, and well cared for.

You’ll be working across occupied properties, responding to day-to-day repair requests that cover glazing. No two days are the same, and your ability to adapt, problem-solve, and deliver excellent customer service will be key to your success.

We’re looking for someone reliable, skilled across multiple trades, and passionate about getting the job done right the first time.

Role Responsibilities

  • Replacing broken or damaged glass units in windows and doors
  • Installing and repairing UPVC windows, doors, and frames
  • Diagnosing faults and recommending appropriate repair solutions
  • Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Working in both occupied and void properties
  • Using handheld devices (PDA) to log work and update job status
  • Liaising with tenants and colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard
  • Supporting other trades and contributing to a positive team environment

Role Criteria

  • Proven experience in glazing and UPVC repairs
  • Experience in the above duties
  • Must be competent with all aspects of glazing and UPVC works including installing/replacing hinges, handles, restrictors, locks and sliding gear
  • Must have experience of and be able to undertake changing of UPVC trims, sills and renewing of double-glazed units
  • You must be able to measure glass and doors and confidently order materials with our suppliers
  • Must be familiar with composite doors
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication skills - verbal and written
  • Basic IT literacy for logging and reporting tasks
  • Full UK driving licence
