Job Description

Wilhelmsen Business Service Center (WBSC) is part of the Wilhelmsen Group, a global provider of services and products to the maritime industry for 165 years. WBSC is one of four companies located in Szczecin where we employ over 240 people in several departments. The entire FSS team consists of more than 60 people, and the GL team is a part of it.

We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team at Wilhelmsen Business Service Center (WBSC) in Szczecin. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements and tax returns. You will support us with:

  • Managing financial bookkeeping, including entering accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries

  • Conducting account reconciliations

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing processes to meet deadlines

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to prepare statutory financial statements, VAT returns, and tax filings

  • Coordinating and managing internal and external audits

  • Performing account analysis to ensure journal entries and balances are accurate

  • Contributing to the development of accounting systems and procedures

  • Maintaining fixed asset records and coordinating investment tracking

What will support you to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in General Ledger or a similar role

  • Solid understanding of accounting transactions and their impact on financial statements

  • Proficiency in English to work with global teams and stakeholders

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
