You will:

As an GL Accountant in the General Ledger Accounting Team, you will be supporting a high-energy, rapidly growing company. This role plays an essential part in our accounting team and will oversee fixed assets as well as US payroll accounting. This is a great opportunity to learn global accounting and gain exposure to more complex accounting areas. You will drive continuous process improvement for monthly close cycles and business processes.

About you: 

  • Own the end-to-end monthly and quarterly close for fixed assets and software subscriptions, including running depreciation and amortization, preparing asset reporting and rollforward schedules, and reconciling subledgers to the general ledger.

  • Manage the full asset lifecycle, including asset registration, placed-in-service tracking, and coordination of quarterly and annual asset disposals.

  • Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation for capex accruals, intangible assets, bonus accruals, and payroll accruals during the financial close process.

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations for all accounts within scope, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

  • Ensure monthly and quarterly financial close in responsible areas are meeting strict deadlines

  • Perform variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts

  • Ad hoc and special projects as needed

  • Support external financial audit requests and SEC form filings

  • Comply with U.S. GAAP accounting 

  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and process improvements as needed, supporting the broader accounting and finance team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience in general ledger accounting. 

  • Detailed oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize work and deadlines

  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Ability to function as part of a team and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment

  • You are eager to learn various accounting topics and grow professionally 

  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills

  • BA or BS degree in Accounting or related field

  • 3 + years experience in general accounting, preferably in the SaaS industry
