Cloudera, a leading technology company, is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented General Ledger Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Cork. As a global organization, Cloudera operates with a commitment to innovation and excellence, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to contribute to the success of our shared service centre based in Cork.
As a General Ledger Accountant at Cloudera, you will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger accounting of our LATAM entities, which will require fluency in Spanish. This role involves collaborating closely with business partners to provide exceptional support and financial insights. The position is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of the company and offers the potential for further career development with additional responsibilities aligned with evolving business requirements.
As a General Ledger Accountant you will:
Lead and review all accounting activities, including month-end close, balance sheet and P&L reviews, variance analysis, and journal entries.
Oversee preparation, accuracy, and timely submission of financial statements for LATAM entities to relevant authorities.
Coordinate quarterly tax provisions, year-end true-ups, and corporate tax returns, ensuring timely filing and compliance.
Manage external accounting and compliance providers to meet all regulatory and statutory requirements.
Support internal, statutory, and external audits, including quarterly and annual processes.
Contribute to international month-end, quarter-end, year-end close, consolidation, and financial reporting.
Partner with regional leads and global Accounting, Tax, and Finance teams to ensure consistent processes and policy application.
Coordinate and track all local compliance filings, payments, and deadlines, maintaining an accurate compliance tracker.
Monitor and forecast cash, manage intercompany balances and settlements, and coordinate with AP and vendors to ensure timely payments.
Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to internal controls, policies, and finance standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Treasury, Payroll, HR, Legal, FP&A, Tax, and Corporate Accounting teams.
We are excited if you have:
A qualified accountant with a minimum of 2+ years relevant accounting experience
Fluent Spanish is essential
Strong foundation in accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting.
Working knowledge of local accounting regulations and compliance. US GAAP accounting experience preferred.
Ability to multi-task, be agile and work well in a dynamic environment.
Team player with strong communication, customer service, organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines, and to efficiently interact with various groups across the company as well as outside of the company.
Advance Excel skills.
Experience with NetSuite preferred.
