GL Accountant

As part of the global closing process the accountant is performing various closing related activities that may include: posting GL transactions (calculated or received from Business Units), manage fixed assets transactions including depreciation run, support quality and timely month end/year end close processes, provide audit support.

Responsibilities:

• Execute day to day accounting activities and the monthly closing
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Analyzing P&L accounts
• Manage the accruals and sales rebate process
• Ensure full compliance with SOX audit rules
• Prepare various monthly corporate consolidated work papers, schedules, and financial statements.
• Prepare various journal entries for selected general ledger accounts.
• Coordinate and/or complete analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly inter-company billings, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Track and maintain financial records for various company agreements to insure compliance and proper payments or billings.
• Perform and assist in special accounting and analysis projects.
   

Key competencies:

• College or university degree in finance/accounting
• 3-4 years of similar experience in Accounting
• China GAAP & US GAAP experience preferred
• Good IT skills (MS Office, SAP experience is an advantage)
• Analytical mindset; use a methodical step-by-step approach to break down complex problems or processes into their constituents parts, identify causes and effects patterns and analyze problems to arrive to an appropriate solution
