About the Role
The GitHub Copilot on Azure specialist supports the Innovate with AI Apps and Agents Solution Play. This role is responsible for driving new GitHub Copilot customer adds on Azure by enabling and scaling partner-led motions within the indirect ecosystem.
The specialist will build and activate a GitHub Copilot reseller community and accelerate customer adoption of GitHub Copilot on Azure.
The successful candidate will:
- Understand the developer ecosystem and partner value propositions
- Articulate how GitHub Copilot accelerates AI-driven outcomes on Azure
- Be fluent in Azure and recommended DevOps practices
- Work closely with Microsoft and partner stakeholders to execute GTM motions
Key Responsibilities
Partner & Ecosystem Development
- Build and manage partners to establish and scale a GitHub Copilot practice
- Execute targeted partner outreach to develop technical, product, and sales capabilities
- Enable partners to drive GitHub Copilot adoption within their customer base
Enablement & Execution
- Run Cloud Ascent and Microsoft programs (campaigns, box, partner skilling, demos)
- Deliver compelling customer conversations and demos
- Implement and manage ROB (Rhythm of Business) with priority partners and stakeholders
- Collaborate with Microsoft and GitHub stakeholders
Program & Community Engagement
- Support GTM execution within the GitHub Copilot Innovate with AI Apps and Agents cohort
- Drive GitHub Copilot acquisition and logo growth through partner motions
- Mandatory participation in Microsoft and GitHub Surestep activities and events
Sales & GTM Execution
- Leverage Cloud Ascent data to prioritize and drive GitHub Copilot opportunities
- Deliver monthly execution plans with partners to achieve customer add targets
- Drive reseller commitment and adoption of GitHub Copilot GTM activities
- Establish reseller community engagement and best practices
What you’ll bring:
Experience & Background
- Preferably experienced in IT services companies, Azure partners, or competing vendors
- Strong understanding of Azure, Apps, Developers, and the Microsoft Partner ecosystem
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience
Certifications (Required / Preferred)
- Required: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Preferred: AZ-200, AZ-204, GitHub Foundations, GitHub Copilot Certification and GitHub Sales Professional certification
