The GFS APAC Portfolio Management Lead reporting to GFS APAC Transformation & Delivery Associate Director plays a pivotal role in shaping and supporting APAC transformation agenda for GFS. This role identifies, assesses, and structures high-quality business cases for digital transformation initiatives across all regions and drives end to end implementation.
The Program Lead ensures opportunities are rigorously evaluated, benefits accurately quantified, and proposals robustly aligned with strategic priorities and operational realities. By driving effective intake, prioritization, and delivery, the role enables sustainable, measurable transformation across global finance hubs, regional markets, and enterprise-wide finance pillars.
Typical Accountabilities:
Business Case Development & Strategic Partnership
Partner with the GFS Digital Strategy & Innovation Director to develop, refine, and validate global business cases for finance innovation and transformation.
Drive opportunity identification, prioritization, and structured assessment of automation, integration, simplification, and transformation initiatives.
Lead the conversion of strategic opportunities into clear investment proposals with defined rationale, KPIs, benefits, risks, and financial returns.
Portfolio & Value Management
Maintain a transformation backlog and portfolio of initiatives, ensuring optimal sequencing, scalability, and management of interdependencies. Evaluate feasibility and alignment of new initiatives to global objectives, confirm readiness for execution, and coordinate handover to the Digital Delivery Lead for implementation.

Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment
Build strong relationships with Finance, business teams, operations teams, IT teams, and other cross-functional groups across all regions.
Engage with process owners, Embedded Finance, Global Digital, GPOs, and GPDDs and impacted functions end to end to align and socialize business cases.
Facilitate cross-regional workshops, steering forums, and alignment sessions to secure sponsorship and consensus for high-priority opportunities.
Technology & Digital Enablement
Collaborate with Enterprise IT, IT Business Partners, and Ignite to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and impactful across regions.
Promote the adoption of digital enablers such as automation, process mining, and low-code platforms as part of Lean and Digital programs.
Governance & APAC Operating Model
Partner with the governance lead to develop and apply both global digital and APAC transformation governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with enterprise policies for risk, compliance, and data protection.
Ensure consistent criteria, prioritization, and execution readiness standards are applied across all proposals.
End-to-End & Scalable Program Design
Lead the design and replication of successful use cases across global markets, ensuring integration, scalability, and measurable business value.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing enterprise-wide transformation over siloed or tactical fixes.
Essential Requirements
Proven success in developing and validating business cases for digital /finance transformation
Strong finance expertise, particularly in controlling, accounting, and FP&A with sufficient understanding of end-to-end finance processes.
Strong analytical skills in quantifying business value, ROI, and risk.
Capability to act as an insights partner, translating data into actionable recommendations for strategic and operational decisions.
Experience managing innovation portfolios and interdependent initiatives across multiple geographies.
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills, including cross-functional collaboration with Finance, business, operations, IT, and enterprise-wide teams.
Track record of delivering enterprise-scale transformation through cross-discipline partnerships.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of digital technologies, automation, and continuous improvement principles/Lean principles combined with familiarity with workflow automation and low-code platforms
Ability to design scalable programs and integrate end-to-end solutions globally
Desirable Criteria:
Finance qualification
Experience in data-driven insights generation, including the use of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Microstrategy, Celonis & etc) for financial and operational decision support.
Can translate finance into tech terms — explains financial and operational concepts in ways technology teams can understand.
