The Graphic Design Manager leads the development and execution of visual assets that define and strengthen the G/FORE brand across all marketing channels. Acting as a brand guardian, this role ensures consistency while bringing fresh, modern, and bold creative ideas to life. This individual will oversee a small design team, balancing hands‑on execution with leadership and mentorship. Success in this role requires an exceptional eye for design, deep understanding of branding, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead and manage the graphic design team, providing creative direction, feedback, and mentorship.
- Develop and execute design concepts that uphold and evolve G/FORE’s brand identity across digital, print, retail, packaging, and event touchpoints.
- Act as brand steward to ensure all visual communications are aligned with the brand’s voice, tone, and aesthetic.
- Partner with Marketing, eCommerce, and Product Design teams to deliver creative assets for campaigns, product launches, retail environments, social media, email, advertising, and partnerships.
- Oversee the creation of brand guidelines, seasonal style guides, and toolkits to maintain consistency globally.
- Manage multiple design projects from concept through production, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality.
- Collaborate with external agencies, photographers, and printers as needed to bring creative concepts to life.
- Stay ahead of design trends, technologies, and cultural shifts to keep the brand fresh, relevant, and competitive.
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in design and proofing
- Ability to interpret and execute brand guidelines consistently
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Proficient on both Mac and PC operating systems
- Strong foundation in design principles (typography, composition, spatial relationships) with a creative mindset to push boundaries while staying on-brand
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of graphic design experience, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or lead capacity
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in branding, typography, layout, and multi-channel design
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Bonus: experience with motion graphics, video editing, or tools such as Figma
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire a creative team
- Experience within fashion, lifestyle, luxury, or premium consumer brands strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional partnership skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to creative excellence and brand integrity
