German Speaking Senior Problem Manager

What success looks like in this role:

As a German Speaking Problem Manager, you will own the end-to-end Problem Management process, ensuring proactive prevention, effective root cause resolution, and continuous service improvement. You will work closely with internal teams, strategic partners, and clients to improve service stability and drive ITIL best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead proactive Problem Management using trend analysis and service insights to prevent recurring incidents.

  • Own and govern the full Problem lifecycle in line with ITIL standards.

  • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

  • Manage and prioritize the Problem backlog, mitigating risks to resolution timelines.

  • Contribute to Problem Review Boards and provide insights into trends and systemic risks.

  • Monitor SLA performance, analyze service data, and report on operational effectiveness.

  • Support and coordinate Incident, Major Incident, Change, and Service Management processes.

  • Lead virtual teams, ensure stakeholder alignment, and drive continuous service improvement initiatives.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • BA/BS degree and 6–8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong experience in ITIL-based Service Management, especially Problem Management.

  • Proven track record in driving RCA and long-term service improvements.

  • Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder or global environments.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent German and English language skills.

  • ITIL certification is an advantage.
