Role's Overview:

Evaluate and ensure adherence to process specifications in each area of the lead recycling process. Coordinate and implement improvement projects, change management, and replication of best practices within the business unit. Maintain documentation of any changes or improvements implemented that directly impact the process.

What You’ll Do (Impact Areas):

  • Manage the creation and updating of documentation for lead and polypropylene recycling processes.
  • Evaluate compliance with process specifications to identify areas of opportunity that may result in project proposals.
  • Analyze and propose process improvements and implement them in collaboration with Plant areas.
  • Manage changes resulting from improvement projects, replications, or improvement ideas, ensuring that process deviation requests are submitted.
  • Ensure adherence to the change implementation process and involve the engineering Staff to guarantee alignment with the organization’s technological version.
  • Develop process automation options through the Control Engineering area.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with operational controls and/or work instructions of the CAS (Quality-Environmental-Safety) system within the work area and for those under one’s responsibility.
  • Support the Plant CMS system by contributing to Design for Manufacturing initiatives and work as a team with Plant areas in the analysis and resolution of production process issues.
  • Utilize information from process audits and technologies or vision systems.
  • Create process improvement proposals for evaluation and implementation and ensure compliance with process and production standards and implement, manage documentation for improvement projects.
  • Create proposals to improve Plant process technologies and carry out process automation initiatives.
  • Understand the ISO 14001 system according to the responsibilities of the position, know how to act in case of an environmental emergency, and exercise the right to stop any activity that may impact the Organization’s environment.
  • Respect and ensure compliance with all procedures of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System applicable to the work area. Report and, if necessary, immediately stop any activities that may endanger the health of individuals, the facility, or employees.
  • Participation and support strategies for the success of HPTs (High-Performance Teams) and investigations of occupational health and safety incidents.
  • Understand, implement, and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System according to the IATF 16949 standard.

What You Bring (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as Process Engineer.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English (conversational English 80%)
  • Strong background in process control and continuous improvement within manufacturing environments.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining process specifications and standards.
  • Proven ability to identify, propose, and implement process and technological improvements.
  • Skilled in managing process change initiatives from evaluation to implementation, including cost-benefit analysis.
  • Experience developing process automation solutions in collaboration with Control Engineering.
  • Proficient in creating and updating process documentation for lead and polypropylene recycling operations.
  • Ability to analyze audit data and drive corrective and preventive actions in coordination with plant areas.
