Foundation GEOINT Quality Assurance Analyst is an upper-level position on our Geography team.  The position will support our work performing Data Conditioning, Conflation, MGCP, and MUVD production across various scales such as 1:5K, 1:50K, 1:250K, and 1:500K, as well as custom mapping products.  Individuals in this role will perform both production digitizing / updating products as well as performing Quality Control/Assurance reviews of worked performed by other analyst / digitizing technicians.  The employee will be trained on the CACI tools, tactics and procedures for both production and Quality Control of these mapping and charting products. They will be expected to work on their individual workshares and work closely with their Teams, Team Leads, and Quality Control teams to create high quality deliverables.  The ideal candidate has education and work experience with GIS and Esri software. Experience supporting products for the Janus Geography contract. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and highly motivated; ready to come in with a great attitude and contribute to making our team and our products better every day!

You will perform the following tasks on the Geography project:

  • Review data for errors and provide feedback to technicians, to include documentation and tracking
  • Analyze feature data networks for logic and connectivity
  • Review and identify features from satellite imagery, to include critical thinking to determine if existing collection meets current specifications
  • Collect and adjust vector data, to include attribution and topology
  • Utilize multiple ancillary sources to provide greater detail to map products
  • Effectively communicate in a virtual team environment
  • Data conversion between different formats and specifications
  • Perform validation checks and resolve invalid results
  • Read and understand complex tables and information to be applied to geodatabase features
  • Communication of guidance from multiple sources, such as customer meetings, team meetings, and quality control reviews
  • Perform project setup and delivery procedures
  • Analyzing and interpreting project instructions to derive and communicate which actions need to be applied to the data
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently as required by the team

Minimum requirements:

  • 5-7 years of Foundation GEOINT experience
  • BS/BA in Geography, GIS or related field preferred
  • Topographic mapping / charting experience
    • NGA product experience such as:
      • Map of the World Data maintenance / Data Creation / Data Conditioning of various scales (1:5k, 1:12.5K, 1:25K, 1:50K, 1:100K, 1:250K, 1:500K)
      • MGCP
      • Conflation
      • Elevation
      • Landcover / Groundcover
      • Product Assembly (JOG, TPC, TM, MTM, etc.)
      • Aero
      • Geonames
      • Administrative Boundaries
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in communication/collaboration software like MS Teams
  • Experience with Esri suite of tools and geodatabases
    • Knowledge of ArcMap and ArcCatalog (version 10.8 is preferred)
    • Familiarity with ArcToolbox

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$48,300-$96,600
